Rising Voices is an initiative presented in collaboration with Indeed that aims to discover, invest in and share stories created by BIPOC filmmakers around the meaning of work and the idea that jobs have the power to change our world. Indeed wanted to commit to diverse hiring with a brand act by discovering and commissioning diverse filmmakers to produce 10 narrative short films based off this insight: barriers that undermine racial equity in content development come at a substantial cost to the film and TV industry.
Working in collaboration with Emmy award-winning creator, Lena Waithe, the films were distributed on Amazon Prime and at the BET Awards. The initiative is now in its third season. The programme garnered 2 billion media impressions and over 60 media placements.
