Expedia leveraged innovative VR technology to capture the dream adventures for kids fighting cancer at St Jude’s hospital, bringing them a truly unique travel experience. This was the first time 360 filming, projection mapping and live streaming technology were used together.
Each child was able to explore, direct the actions of the on-site travel proxy and immerse themselves in the virtual travel adventure all from their hospital room. The campaign encouraged customers to donate their Expedia+ points directly to the hospital.
