Natasha Wellesley is an award-winning, executive level production-focused leader with 20+ years of experience who sits at the intersection of advertisIng, branded entertainment and production. Her track record for being at the forefront of where the industry is going and her multi-industry experience allows her to champion and implement innovative production practices.  

With a string of successful award-winning campaigns to count among her many accomplishments, and a proven track record for building out departments, growth, retention and innovation, Natasha is best known for attention to craft, leadership abilities and creativity.

Natasha started her career in feature film and TV production before moving to commercials production. At HSI, as Managing Director she set up and ran the UK office, establishing a talented roster of directors and pushed the company to become No.11 in the top 30 production companies. She then jumped agency side for a new creative challenge at BBH London, where she managed award-winning global campaigns, overseeing creative output for clients such as Axe and Vodafone among other clients.

In 2011, Natasha moved to Los Angeles to become Head of Integrated Production for 180LA. She oversaw broadcast, digital, experiential, radio, print and scalable content production for clients that included Adidas, Boost, Pepsi, Miller Lite, HP. As an executive on the leadership team, Natasha believes a true team partnership between different disciplines leads to integrated collaboration. She built a modern production department, launched the studio division, and led and mentored a passionate team of talented producers, creating work that won numerous awards. Her best-known campaigns include Boost Mobile’s Boost Your Voice (Cannes Lions Titanium and Grand Prix for Social Responsibility & Integrated), Expedia’s Dream Adventures & Visit Britain (Cannes Lions Gold, D&AD), and lastly, UNICEF’s UNFairy Tales (Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Good). Other distinctions include President Obama’s call to action and AdAge’s Campaign of the Year.

Natasha joined Ventureland in 2018 to build and run the before-its-time creative studio. As the Executive Producer, she is dedicated to creating best in class brand experiences. Creating a framework for end-to-end production, overseeing strategy, influencing the creative and working closely with the both top-tier directors and up & coming creators - reimagining what brand storytelling looks like.

Since joining she has championed many impact campaigns that tackle topics close to her heart, helping brands participate in culture in more meaningful ways. Recent collaborations include Sephora’s documentary Beauty of Blackness (Tribeca, HBO Max) which spotlights the colorism and inequity of the cosmetics industry and KitchenAid’s A Woman's Place (Effie, Tribeca, Hulu) that provides a provocative and honest look at the biases and barriers women face in the culinary industry through the stories of three inspiring chefs pushing for change. Natasha also co-created Indeed’s Rising Voices, with Lena Waithe, an initiative in support of the next generation of BIPOC filmmakers and storytellers, currently in its third season.

Natasha credits her experience working on feature films and running a commercials production company in helping her make the best creative choices, and ability to effectively guide the production process for clients. She has won more than 100 awards across D&AD, One Show, Clios, Webbys, AICP, LIA, Anthem, Effies and the Cannes Lions. She has judged the YDA, AICP, Shorty’s, LIFF and served on the Cannes Lions Film and One Show’s Branded Entertainment Jury. She has also participated in various industry forums and panels, including New Fronts, AICP Next Awards, San Diego Film Festival, Tribeca, and Sundance. In 2022 she was honored within Creativepool’s Creative Leader of the Year and is a member of Women in Film.
