Less than six months before the major launch of the adidas D Rose 3 shoe, the namesake and highest paid asset, Derrick Rose was injured and out of the game. The entire campaign would have to be re-thought for a player now on the bench. Days later, we began producing a campaign that turned a season lost into a story to follow throughout his recovery. The campaign instead became an emotional engagement program for fans to show their support for the recovering champion.
Rose sold more shoes than Lebron that year and the Campaign won an Effie.
